Foster Care Fortnight 2017 is here and we want you to get involved!

What is Foster Care Fortnight?

Foster Care Fortnight runs from 8th – 21st May, and is an annual campaign that aims to spread the word about fostering and show how foster care transforms lives. The campaign was established almost 20 years ago by leading fostering charity, The Fostering Network.

Over the course of the next two weeks we will be doing all we can to get involved with Foster Care Fortnight and we are urging you to get involved too!

Over 9,000 more foster carers are needed this year to meet the growing demand for safe, loving homes for vulnerable children in the UK. Our mission is to reduce this shortfall and raise awareness about the positive difference foster care makes to the lives of children up and down the country.

Of course, foster care doesn't just transform the lives of those who are fostered, it also has the power to change the lives of foster carers, their families, and all those who are involved.

Over the next two weeks we will be sharing stories from our fantastic foster carers, looked after children, and members of our experienced team that support our foster carers. We want you to get involved and help us make a difference to even more young people’s lives.

How can you get involved?
