Form F Assessors
Pathway Care are searching for qualified social workers able to undertake Form F assessments. This integral step in the fostering process requires close collaboration with prospective carers and local authorities.
We offer our assessors a competitive fee of £2,000 (plus travelling expenses) for each completed assessment. Alongside this financial reimbursement, we also provide training and development opportunities.

FOSTERING PANEL VICE CHAIR – SOUTH WEST ENGLAND
Pathway Care is a fostering agency that is fully committed to providing high quality foster placements for children. We invest huge effort and energy in achieving high standards of care and in doing all we can to achieve positive outcomes for the children we look after. This includes thorough Form F assessments of applicants and comprehensive reviews of foster carers. The Fostering panel, which meets approximately once a month, is an integral and essential part of our service and we are seeking a new Panel Vice Chair.
Panels are convened at either our Ashburton Office in Devon or at our office in Bristol and applicants must be available to participate in these from 9.30am-4.30pm.
Applicants must be able to contribute to all panel functions including making recommendations on the assessment and approval of foster carer applicants, foster carer reviews and terminations of approval. Applicants must have a good understanding and awareness of the needs of looked after children and the issues affecting them and to have acquired this professionally through employment in child care social work.
Specifically, the Panel Vice Chair will need:
• A social work qualification DipSW or CQSW
• The ability to Chair a complex meeting where various views are expressed in the absence of the Chair
• The ability, if needed, to lead a meeting with appropriate authority and tactfulness
• The ability to identify areas of strength as well as those of concern and maintain a strong safeguarding focus.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards that relate to fostering.
Expenses are provided for travel and payment for preparation and attendance at Panel.
Applicants must live within reasonable travelling distance of Panel and will wherever possible be recruited from the local region.
