Hello and welcome to Pathway Care Wales.

Pathway Care have two offices in Wales,  one in Carmarthen and one in Cardiff, and across both offices we support over 200 foster carers to look after over 350 children.

As the Director for Wales I have responsibility for the services delivered by both these offices and I am supported in this task by four experienced Regional Managers and over forty social work and support staff.

I have been a qualified Social Worker for the last twenty years and during that time I have worked for a variety of Local Authorities in child protection settings. I was born and brought up in Wales and am a fluent Welsh speaker and enjoy any opportunity to use my first language in my day to day work.

I joined Pathway Care in 2002 and worked initially as a Supervising Social worker and then a Team Manager before being made a Director in 2008. In working my way up through the company I have witnessed at first hand the challenges and the joys that fostering brings, and the real difference that fostering can make - not only to the carers  own lives, but most importantly to the lives of the children and the young people that we have the privilege of looking after.

In Wales, Pathway Care has an enviable reputation as a provider of quality foster care placements and excellent support for its carers. This reputation has been recently endorsed by ten of our major Local Authority customers who awarded Pathway Care a highly acclaimed "Green Status" following an intensive process of quality verification. A critical part of my role as the Director for Wales is in ensuring that Pathway Care continues to deliver services at this level. Fostering requires dedication and commitment from carers, and Foster Carers working for Pathway Care can expect the same level of support and dedication from our staff teams in Wales.

If you would like to take up the challenge of fostering, and would like to join a professional and committed company then we would be very pleased to hear from you.
