Midlands Office Summer BBQ

Thursday 18th of August started with threats of heavy rainfall threatening to spoil the planned fun and games of Pathway Care Midlands summer BBQ. Clouds formed, went grey and black and back to grey but in the end only threatened. The bouncy castle and bouncy slide were delivered and inflated and proved to be as much a success this year as last year and were enjoyed by all. Kids bounced and slid as adults watched wondering whether they had ever had that much energy.
Chris the entertainer was once again both entertaining and professional. He also proved once again he was a very shrewd judge of audiences knowing when to speed things up or slow things down and how to get all the children involved. And for a change there were more babies than teenagers making it quite ironic that the ‘mummy’ game (wrapping people up in toilet paper to look like a Mummy) was not played.
Jayne and Rachel kept the food and drink coming ably helped by staff where necessary and a good time was had by all. By the time it came to go the clouds had all but disappeared and a pleasant evening promised. Hopefully our carers enjoyed a pleasant day and went home with exhausted children ready to sleep soundly that night.
