MAKE A DIFFERENCE – BECOME A FOSTER CARER

10.05.10

Karen Parsons, Carer Recruitment Officer with Pathway Care East England region, commented: “Being a foster carer can be challenging work, but with it can come great satisfaction. In the UK there is an estimated shortage of 10,000 foster carers and it is very important to address this and get these children back into mainstream society.

“Foster carers come from all walks of life. Some possess transferable skills gained from a variety of work ranging from caring for the elderly, or people with disabilities, teaching assistants, retired police officers or coming from a background in the armed services.  Others have enjoyed a very good life and want to improve the lives of others less fortunate than themselves.

“Here at Pathway Care, we have experienced staff who will support you all the way and provide ongoing training.”

If you think fostering could be for you, please contact our team on 0871 2263760, or visit our website to find out more: www.pathwaycare.com
