Children from Pathway Care cut their own CD.
9th November 2007
Last month, a group of young people from Pathway Care Midlands had the opportunity to go to a professional recording studio for the day. The group of six young people donned there headphones and recorded a number of songs including hits from the Pussy Cat Dolls, Spice Girls and some Country and Western classics.
Jayne Sewell, Pathway Care Midlands' outreach worker said, "We were very proud of the way everyone worked as a team and supported and encouraged one another throughout the day."
She added; "Although nervous at first, after having sung as a group the children gained the confidence to sing either as a duo or solo, it was a brilliant day."
John, (not his real name) one of the young people involved said; "I didn't think I would have the confidence to do it, but when you're in there and you hear the backing music you forget your fear, it was really good to record one of my mum's favourite tracks."
All the songs were recorded and everyone received a personalized copy of the CD. Who knows, perhaps we have some budding pop stars here at Pathway Care.
