Helping young people take the next step

22nd October 2007

Pathway Care West Wales has launched a new advertising campaign to help in its recruitment of foster carers for vulnerable children with specialist and complex needs. The campaign entitled "Help me take the next step" coincides with the regions increased focus on offering specialised placements for young people making the transition from residential care into family placements.

The "Safe Steps" initiative was created in response to Local Authority needs and in conjunction with a residential resource and follows many months of research and training by staff members.

The "Safe Steps" programme of care will consist of a small, highly specialised team of carers, trained and supported to help young people with complex and special needs move from a residential environment into a more stable family home. If you believe you have what it takes to work within this highly specialised field, please contact our Carmarthen office on 01267 290033 and ask for more information.
