Hello and welcome to Pathway Care Midlands. My name is Jackie Edwards and I have been Regional Director here at our offices in Bromsgrove since April 2005. I am a qualified social worker and have an MA in Child Care law and practice and a post graduate Diploma in Management.
Let me tell you a bit about myself; I qualified as a social worker in 1988 and worked in child protection with Warwickshire Social Services before joining Barnardos in 1991 in a Family placement team. I later set up a Children's Advice and Representation Service for Children in Staffordshire with the NSPCC, before joining the Independent fostering sector in 1996.
Since joining Pathway care in the Midlands, I have seen the organisation grow from strength to strength, genuinely building upon its core values, of putting children first. Without support a growing number of Carers, without whose dedication and commitment to the welfare of children we wouldn't be able to do our job.
Here at our offices in Bromsgrove we have a growing team of thirteen staff members, all have extensive experience with working with looked after children and specific specialisms within various fields. We have a dedicated group of foster carers from a wide range of backgrounds who look after children of all ages from babies to 18 year olds. We cover the whole of the West Midlands area including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and all the counties surrounding, we are always looking for new carers to join our team.
